What happens while the cars are waiting

Just yesterday, while our Silver C;oud and the 1932 Vintage Rolls Royce were waiting outside St Edmunds RC Church in Southampton, James and Mike (the chauffeur’s), were asked by a young Polish Family if they could photograph our 2 cars. It was the mother and father, a 6 year old and a 2 year old boy.

Dispite the laguage problem – within 5 minutes every possible combination of the family was photograped in front of the 2 cars – many of the photographs showed the father and the 2 little boys wearing our chauffeurs caps. A good day.

We then had some Spanish people and then Lithuanian’s – all asked to be photograped with the cars.

The wedding was great – really nice peolple – as always.

A wedding in the New Forest

Caroline and David had booked our 1932 Vintage Rolls Royce for their wedding in August 2009. As we ususually do – we did a “recci” the day before the wedding (just to make sure that we can find the house – and the church or hotel etc). The address and the house seemed familiar,

On the wedding day we discovered that Caroline’s older sister used our Rolls Royce Silver Cloud for her wedding 6 years ago. It was nice to see her again and her two lovely young children – the oldest will start school soon.

The very nice and imaginative photographer (Carrie Bugg) was suprised that even though the wedding ceremony venue and the reception were both at the same hotel in Beaulieu - we waited for the duration of the wedding ceremony, so that the bride and groom could be photographed with the car.

Silver Cloud – new axle fitted

July 2008. We had a problem with the rear axle – a very expensive replacement was obtained and fitted. The car is even quiter than before. The car is perfect! Everything was fixed between weddings – not a single wedding was affected.

Hola!

Saturday -20th September 2008, this car was on display at Fareham Precinct along with over 35 other cars from members of the South hants Vehicle Preservation Society. We were asked to drive the Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Fareham to an opening ceremony further up West Street (West Street was closed for the event). Photo in our “Boat tailed gallery page”
